On a music-related noted, one thing I learned not long ago is that no one really knows for sure who wrote “House of the Rising Sun”; it’s a traditional folk ballad, and like so many songs like that, the authorship is lost to history. The version by The Animals is certainly the most well-known version, but it’s a cover/arrangement, not an original song.
