re: #213 jaunte
NPR currently reporting on getting Covid under control as “the biggest challenge for the Biden White House.”
No mention that it’s the biggest challenge for the entire nation, or the viciously politicized resistance to all pandemic mitigation measures coming from the entire Republican party all the way up to the Supreme Court.
As always, the media have invested in casting the Biden admin and Dems as unsalvageable failures that can and will never recover. I won’t indulge too much so not to give him too much traffic, but do have to at least note the amount of dunking on Nate Cohn this morning for the usual “Biden is historically the biggest failure ever and can never recover his reputation!” BS for the NYT.
The worst part of ridiculous claims like this by national pundits is the extent to which the media is doing the Republican Party’s work for them.
According to The NY Times, do you know who is to blame for the venal obstructionism practiced by the Republican Party?
Democrats. https://t.co/B3b4Guv1Ow— Mikel Jollett (@Mikel_Jollett) January 21, 2022
It’s interesting how pundits declared and compared Biden to FDR, Biden didn’t do it, and now are criticizing him for not being FDR. Being a pundit these days is never having to admit you’re wrong. BTW Clinton left office with a 67% approval rating..politically unsuccessful? https://t.co/LaGpweTmRM
