I think it should be blamed sometimes on the opposition as well. I’m afraid that the same thing will happen to Obama. You have a small vocal minority that bitches no matter what you do, so as a president I’m sure it becomes harder to no what’s legit and what’s political posturing. I’m afraid Obama may be afraid to change course sometime in the future because if he’s getting bitched at for everything, and then he tries to change position, there will be the calls for I told you so’s and waffling and other bullshit. It’s a damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation and I think it led to inertia with Bush and I don’t want to see the same mistakes from Obama. Although it seems Obama’s problem is one of trying to get out in front of an issue before knowing if the issue is legit (Sherrod as an example) and maybe he’d do better to wait a couple things out.
