I agree with you. Particularly the High IQ. Just because you have a 130 plus IQ does not make you smarter than some one with an IQ in the average range. People assume that because you have either a high IQ or a range of alphabet letters behind your name, ie PhD, JD etc.. that you are “smarter” than the average person. I believe that individuals that have high IQ’s generally have a more difficult time in dealing with everyday tasks because they can have a difficult time in coming to a resolution of issues as they want to examine each and every possible outcome before making a decision. That is why, IMHO, that really smart people have such a difficult time in recognizing and dealing with such things as Evil when faced with it.

By high IQ I really meant the so called intelligentsia and chattering class.

I don’t know what his IQ is, I would imagine he’s alright, but hardly regarded as among the intelligentsia, but among those who’s views got vast exposure, Joe the Plumber articulated the best case against Obama- and was also damn good in the pro Israel arena during the Gaza war- but was routinely dismissed compared to the opinion of those who are now expressing their mia culpa all over.
