He is a professor at the local University. Our kids are really in trouble when it comes to higher education if this is what it represents.

I am not surprised, I hear stuff like that from my fellow Professors all the time. If you really want a jolt, walk through the teacher parking lots at any public university and look at the bumper stickers.
