Stuff you may not know about Bernie Sanders:

In his 20s, he lived on an Israeli kibbutz for a while.

Perhaps surprisingly, he does not have a 100% negative rating from the NRA. He voted against the Brady Bill and in 1994 supported an NRA sponsored bill that would limit the liability of gun manufacturers.

He is perhaps the strongest member of the senate on veterans issues. He has sponsored several key pieces of legislation on behalf of veterans and In 2014 he received the Col. Arthur T. Marix Congressional Leadership Award from the Military Officers Association for his support of veterans.

He would be a great president but, as other lizards have pointed out, he wouldn’t have the proverbial snowball’s chance in the general election. His nomination would force at least some RWNJs to find out what “socialism” really is though.
