Portman has lost his TP support. NOM is trying to get a primary challenger because he’s no longer opposed to gay marriage and other TP groups aren’t up for backing him. So maybe he’s doing this to improve his standing with the wingnuts he thinks he needs on election day.

I want that stiff (Portman) gone! As an Ohioan, I will do what I can to see that happens.
