It’s not so much that it’s a sin, but that if an animal tries to eat a human (or succeeds in doing so) that they might possibly make a habit of it.

And it’s frustrating that we will take an animal away from it’s home and keep it in captivity. Imprison it, really. And then if it hurts somebody - whoa! It’s tasted blood! Now we have to put it down. Stupid
