Actually we can avert this catastrophe. I am not sure why you would hear the catastrophe is avertable by certain measures, but then start arguing for things that will not avert it. It’s like hearing you need to loose ten pounds and then start arguing for doing your hair. It makes no sense.

They don’t want to avert it. It’s all about embrace and extend now. Embrace the science, extend the apathy.

“It’s all inevitable now,” that’s the new meme: don’t argue the science, just decry “alarmism”, say that there’s no bother trying as often as possible, tell people to watch your money, and in general just wear a shit eating grin while being a selfish disingenuous douche bag.
