Been debating with one of those “If anyone else in the theater had a gun, this wouldn’t have been so bad!” people… They went on about how “law abiding citizens with CCW” could have helped stop this. Well, the thing is, this guy was a legal, law-abiding citizen/gun owner. Until last night.

Is there any evidence that people in the theater were not armed?

Colorado issues concealed carry permits.

Unless the theater had a specific policy that you leave your shootin’ irons outside, why are these people so sure that no one was armed? Just because they weren’t crazy enough to try to shoot in an impossible situation?
