It is true however. The Nazi Party won a plurality of seats in the 1933 Election in Germany. Upon doing so, they started dismantling democratic institutions.

There are other examples, but that is one that Americans will listen to the most.

Eh, every ten minutes someone else in America compares someone to Hitler. I think there are better ways to address Egypt’s problems without going all “THEY’RE JUST LIKE THE NAZIS IN 1933”. Especially since there’s no guarantee that won’t WIN them supporters in the Middle East.
