I don’t know how any Republicans can feign surprise when their party is accused of being a safe haven for haters and lunatics. This didn’t suddenly just happen; they’ve been bringing the crazy into the fold since Palin’s VP nomination, right under everyone’s noses. Everybody’s gone along for the ride either with a smile on their face, or in perpetual denial of the facts.

It’s time to start painting with that broad brush. I don’t want to hear any whining about “a tiny minority of extremists.” Too little, too late - your party is hopelessly fucked, and getting more fucked up by the minute.
