Exactly. Drug law/prohibition causes so much more harm than legal drug use it’s not even comparable.

It grows more perverse than that: drug lords “allow” some of their shipments to get nabbed - it makes their own inside people on the law enforcement side look good and has the side benefit of helping get rid of some of the annoying low-level chumps they want out of the way.
