I saw an article in The Slate asking, “Is it racist to want to date only people of your own color?”.

I did not bother reading it, as the question seems irrelevant: What does racism have to do with matters of personal preference in your private life, especially involving love, marriage, family and intimacy?

Nobody has a right to be your spouse or girlfriend; It is, however, a much different matter when it comes to other issues such as being denied service in a public business, or receiving preferential or discriminatory treatment in a job or housing/loan application based on race.
