I’ve got a friend whose kids are involved in competitive league sports, and I worry for their kids because even if they do everything right, the other kids and their parents might not.

Why chance any of this? Are sports so fucking important that you’d ruin your life for it? /rhetorical - the answer is apparently a resounding yes given all the people who play football knowing that it can leave you permanently harmed.

Nothing, NOTHING, is more important than protecting your own, which also protects society as a whole.
