I was told once on this very blog that the difference between Conservatives and Liberals is that Conservatives thing Liberals are people with bad ideas, but Liberals think Conservatives are bad people. I knew that was true for the fringe of both sides - and still only true for the fringe, but I don’t think I was able to convince anyone in that conversation. Perhaps the case is stronger now.
