Reading William Gibson’s life’s work is an interesting view into which countries and groups of people were supposed to pound us flat at different times.

First it was the Sovs, then it was the Japanese salaryman.

Then it was sort of vague, but, like Slavic gangsters of some kind.

Has he caught the Islamic terror wave yet? I lost interest at some point in the 90s, as you no doubt can tell.

BTW, has anyone here read George Alec Effinger? When Gravity Fails?
