I agree that it will be interesting to see what happens. IMO the out that Clinton gave to Republicans in the speech was just the suggestion that they should reject Trump.

That’s a very low bar (a prerequisite for being civilized, basically), and didn’t seem to me to have larger implications for POTUS Clinton vs. a Republican House.

Yes, rejecting Trump is definitely a prerequisite for being civilized.

In any event, as I said, whatever played out in my imagination was just that—an imagining, a fantasy, ergo I really don’t have anything invested in it or any particular desire to defend it since it wasn’t intended to be logically sound or even especially realistic.
