“No comment” from the Vatican? It’s not like these guys haven’t known for months this was coming.

It’s attitudes like this that make me wonder if the whole edifice, the allegedly official orthodox Christian faith, ought to be burned to the ground. And I’m including Protestants and others, because child abuse covered up by church leaders is everywhere.

A friend of mine, a retired air traffic controller, has been going up to Camp Verde for the better part of two weeks to sit and watch the trial of Thomas Chantry, who is alleged to have beaten children with a paddle for his sexual gratification. Chantry pastored a church in Prescott and his organization, the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America (ARBCA) has been covering for him since 2000. The asshat leaders send out emails telling members not to pay attention to my friend’s blogposts about the trial. It’s a horrible situationl.

It’s things like this that make me want to burn it all down.
