Pete’s in a sorta hard spot for a next career step. Maybe he can leverage up into a House seat, but it’s somewhat hard for a D in Indiana. Very little chance for Gov or Senate. But I really don’t want him going for Prez without real experience at the national level.

UN Ambassador might be good for him. He’s a polyglot and although he doesn’t have international political experience, his military service and knowledge might serve him well there. Biden and Harris both really like him. He’s going to the executive branch in some way.
