Beck’s TV and radio ratings consist of mostly people who agree with him, but with a minority of those, like us, who watch either for the crazy entertainment value or because of a sincere concern that he is mainstreaming extremism, and so we watch to know what the “other side” is thinking and doing. I would say a better estimation of Beck’s followers is seen in his book sales. I’d guess that a much higher percentage of those sales are going to his true believers. I would never consider spending a cent to buy any book he writes, lest any of my money goes into his pocket.
