In my experience, Ozzies are irreverent - in the sense of being impertinent, pert, spirited, cheeky, playful, jokey, waggish, satirical, dubious of authority, don’t take themselves or anything else too seriously, etc. All in a good sense.

Well, that’s the stereotype, yeah. And it’s true for a lot of people. There are of course many exceptions, though.
