I got into Robert Johnson because of Eric Clapton - he highly praised Johnson, so I figured it might be worthwhile to check it out. Glad I did.

I have an Artist’s choice CD from the Stones. that includes his 32-20 Blues and I just fell in love with it. It sounds so raw and real. Plus one of my favorite songs on Let It Bleed is Love in Vain which I didn’t know was a cover. I think lots of music comes from appropriation. I don’t see it as a bad thing really. I mean definitely give credit where credit is due which is what guys like Clapton, Keith, and others did to the old time Blues guy but don’t deny it either.
