The problem is that the Repubs aren’t going to budge, they’re actually under pressure from their own nutters to just not pass a bill at all. Welcome to the Second Great Recession, where the party in power thinks that “the invisible hand” of the free market will magically lead to not only a booming recovery, but will wipe out the virus through “herd immunity” by forcing people back to work through threat of cutting them off entirely.
