Tonight, I visited an 89 year old pal who was on the floor searching for a tiny screw for one of his half dozen reading glasses. Just as I was about to say, “Give it up, Teddy, you have others,” blast my stupid ageism he shouted gleefully “Eureka, I found it!”

And indeed he had found the wee thing. Lesson learned.
