Do it. In the final analysis, its dial 911 and die if you don’t. Have a firearm and have a plan. The plan is to retreat to a room with one door, a window, and a phone. If you have somebody that is threatening you, retreat to that room. Dial 911. Do not go out of the room to look for the person threatening you, the chances are better that they will get you, rather than you getting them. When the cops arrive, let them know where you are and that you are armed. Once they have things under control, throw your firearm out the window. You do not want the cops to mistake you for the bad guy. Of course, if the bad guy comes through the door, drop them if you have to.
