I, for one, am perfectly happy to see people reassess their positions on issues.
I’m a bit surprised you’re not.

I would be, except that I don’t think these folks are becoming more aware or nuanced, they’re just taking up a different simplistic stance.

Also, honestly, I was called naive, a traitor, someone who hated women, someone who wanted the terrorists to win, and some other choice names when I expressed doubts about how the Afghan Adventure was gonna turn out, so seeing these same doubts suddenly paraded as the sensible conservative perspective makes me a little manic.

We’re still not having a sane discussion, either way.
