Something that’s not been touched on much in recent days. The Luby’s cafe massacre was the deadliest mass shooting when it occurred in ‘91 and was not surpassed in total body count until the VA Tech shooting in ‘07.

It now ranks as the sixth deadliest mass shooting in US history.

And the Bath School Massacre was the deadliest massacre in a school, and it used explosives. (The mass-murderer only used his .30-06 to kill his wife and set off explosives in his truck. Everyone else killed was by the explosives he hid in the school.)

The government immediately removed the explosive in question from the market (pyrotol, a WW1 surplus explosive sold in farm supply stores).

That massacre has been far surpassed by shootings with semi-automatic weapons.
