Your inner critic is in control right now. Back away from the book and go do something menial that requires you hands (and left brain) to be busy. Cleaning works well, painting (like walls, not canvases), washing the floors. Do not just go for a walk, you’ll thoughts won’t get a chance to disengage.

That’s interesting, because when I’m writing, I do some of my best thinking on a walk.
