Just two more points to add:

1) That comes out to a max of $83.33 per month for the Pill. The patient would have a co-pay, which, while small, would be the same as with virtually any other Rx drug. So there’s no legit objection, save those brainiacs who honestly believe that contraception is not part of a woman’s overall health profile.

2) The insurance cos. WANT women to use contraception. Why else would they go along with the Obama plan in which they would effectively provide it for free? It improves their bottom line in the long run…less prenatal, natal, postnatal care to pay for.

You’re missing the part where Fluke goes to Georgetown, a Catholic University. Her heath insurance coverage is dictated by the whims of her school’s administrators, who are imposing their institution’s affiliated religious doctrines on students who may not in fact be Catholic themselves.
