How many years loan? For 15, the 1st 4 (or so) is about 55-60% principle the rest interest. Then, each month it’s a tad more principle/ less int. get to about 8 years in and it’s about 70-75 principle ,, ect

I pay about 5k (property taxes and PMI included, so 3700 or so is mortgage) a month, and I watch my principle come down just over 1,000 every month (I round up my payments so it’s a nice even number). I went through the last year and noticed that every month, the amount going toward principle goes up by FOUR WHOLE CENTS! (that will increase too, but it was fun to see)
