Is there any way at this point to figure out what originally happened, or at least to charge the people involved with being really, really, annoying?

According to the explanatory PDF on ACORN’s site, the filmmakers won’t release the original tapes. If they did engage in major editing, this is hardly a surprise.

What is surprising to me is that more people didn’t raise questions about the legitimacy of these videos. Heck, I feel violated, since I’ve been involved in several discussions with rabid righties where I had to say “yes, their behavior was despicable, but…”
