How the hell do you ride a manatee? I’ve blundered into them at Crystal (not) River, snorkelling in the vegetation-tea. Top speed is what, about 0.4 MPH?

Vegetation-tea pretty much describes it. I was in the Peace River (inland) just over a year ago and the water was basically the color of tea with little to no visibility to see how deep the water was or what the bottom consisted of there.
