If that were the case, then no one would ever get a hip replacement, colonoscopy, or any other invasive medical procedure.

I’ve spent more than my share of time in an ER over the past 6 months, and have seen all manner of medical procedures. While some of my relatives and friends can’t stand the sight of even a blood pull or stitches, I’m able to handle all that and more - and have seen far worse. Meanwhile, if the Mrs. goes and touches her eye to fix her contacts, I get queasy.

The anti-choice nuts think that emotion will trump science. They may be right, if we let them.
