Dad’s parents gave their bodies to science so there’s no place for me to visit. Part of the reason why I do genealogical research is to get to know my dad’s dad better who I never knew and remember my Nana. I sort of have a reversal of Klys case. My parents were both the youngest in their families and their parents were with the exception of my mom’s mom the youngest in theirs and my mom’s mom was the product of a second marriage.

Yeah, my parents were younger kids in families that really dragged out the generations to their maximum possible lengths. I had my kids in my late 20s, but they’re (my kids, that is) in their mid 30s with no kids in sight…
3 of my 4 grandparents died by the time I was 6, only Mom’s Dad lived until I was in my late teens. Fortunately we lived close to him and saw him frequently.
