the Republicans from New England and the Northeast tend to be more pragmatic and sane. Judd Gregg, the two senators from Maine, Scott Brown, Mitt Romney, et al. THEY can do well if they continue to distance themselves from the hard right.

Scott Brown - yep, they could do well.
If they can get out from under the accusations of “tea party”! when they meet with a tea party group (I’m thinking Scott Brown, in a thread here).
