I’ve eaten a lot of weird stuff in China, but I refuse to eat dog and tell people so. Dog is a traditional meat for wintertime — something about the yin-yang balance.

The husband once brought back, from Japan, baby bees in teriyaki sauce. He offered it to coworkers.

Only one took him up on it, and that was because he didn’t find out what it was until he had one in hand, and it would be rude to put it back.

One of the few foods the husband also ranks highly on the disgusting list.
