It is all posturing. American government has lost its ability to control multinationals and they have their own agenda.

It’s the far-right mirror to all those on the far-left running around, insisting that COVID-19 swamping hospitals and killing people left and right is somehow “proof” that universal healthcare is needed immediately because everybody would be safe. Both sides are seeing in this crisis vindication that their worldview is the only correct one.
