Let’s not forget the Rape of Nanking where the Japanese military murdered up to 300,000 Chinese in 1937. Their contempt was not reserved to those of European heritage; imperial Japan also treated Chinese and Koreans abysmally.

And let’s not forget about Unit 731, who carried out atrocities - all too frequently on Chinese civilians - that would make Josef Mengele say, “Seriously, WTF?!”
