The person I was referring to shot himself in the chest. I am hoping that he maybe had a little time to ask God to forgive him. Also, I like to think God is loving and compassionate enough to realize a person’s inner struggle with mental illness and instead of condemning them, maybe holding THEM even closer to himself. I was also taught in CCD that when you say your prayers at night, say an extra one for those souls who may be lingering in purgatory. When they get enough prayers, they too can go to heaven. Maybe suicides go to purgatory? IDK…I’m not dead.
