I happened to watch the O’Reilly show recently when he did a lengthy segment about how horrific the Netherlands and Amsterdam are, because of their civil libertarianism. Well, I’ve been to many parts of the Netherlands, and O’Reilly’s distorted portrayal of it as a violent, crime-filled anarchy certainly didn’t match what I saw.

Here’s an Amsterdam resident’s response to O’Reilly…

Charles: We have an office outside of Amsterdam..When I visit I find some the nicest people around…Very Professional at work and level headed…
I have walked every street at night in Downtown and never once felt threaten… Good people from what I have met…
Now..If you asked me to walk around Chicago at night.. I’ll pass and take a taxi…Nothing against the Windy City..*cough*
