What if Maine had elected a Muslim for our governor and his or her House & Senate members decided to pass out the Quran to the legislators? That is my point, of course. Passing out the New Testament is insinuating that this religion is above all others and it makes me cringe. Personally, I don’t think any religious book should be passed out at all. :D

My response is the same.
It’s a silly thing to do, and inappropriate, IMO, to pass out any religious texts in this context.

But not worth being offended by it.

Would you have posted of your being offended if it happened to have been the Quran?
