I’m just gobsmacked at the amount of detail compared to what we typically get to see here in the States.
That’s what struck me as well. I was stunned to see the level of detail - typically, American police play their cards close to the vest.
In this particular case, the only reason the suspect hasn’t been apprehended - to the best of my knowledge - is that he must have fled the country shortly afterwards and hasn’t returned.
Intriguingly, on page three of the .pdf, it notes that sand grains found in the hip bag left by the suspect likely originated in the Mojave Desert of California. That’s a very vital clue; it might trigger someone’s memory of a friend/family member/acquaintance who journeyed to California before the homicides took place, and he may have mentioned that fact to others.
