I suspect it will become another Ello, a small-scale social medium for a select group of users. I signed up for Ello when it was beta, and it seems to have turned into a platform for artists and artistes to share their work. I don’t even use it.

For gab to be really successful, it’s going to have offer something shiny and new to Twitter users, more than a 300-character limit and a higher tolerance for bigots. It’s a johnny-come-lately.
