Itās a āmonumental leapā to accept the scientific evidence for evolution, but believing in a magical garden at the beginning of time, with an apple tree and an evil snake in it ā no problem.
They accepted the snake when they were three years old, and have believed it since. Now we want them to discard all that deep-seated āknowledgeā for something completely different thatās way above their ability to understand themselves, so they would also have to accept on faith.
Itās a really bad situation, and Iām not smart enough to know how to educate them out of their absurd worldview.
