Contextually, I’m not even sure what the “revolution” is. Democratic socialism being a viable position, I guess.

The whole construct sinks of “historical conditions” in the Marxian sense: that shit gets so bad that people decide to flip everything over. Except most revolutions don’t actually work that way: shit gets flipped over, then things get uncertain and the supposed “inevitable” result doesn’t turn up.
