Some folks thought that perhaps there wasn’t a large enough police presence to stop the mob, which had already begun throwing things at the building and was itself attempting to break into the building.

And that may be true.

What’s frightening to me is that these “demonstrations” are predictable - they will become violent, and it will be the demonstrators who initiate the violence. Setting an object on fire is violence, and should not be allowed to happen in these large crowds.

Apart from my personal disgust, somebody could get burned - it’s a safety issue. But they are allowed to do it, and at the rally in Zombie’s report, the lone person peacefully and quietly carrying a sign in support of Israel was taken out of the march.

It is frightening.

I agree, it is scary: God help this nation if our cops start running away like they do in London. God help us all.
