It is hard to find quotes from Santorum allowing exceptions for abortion when the mother’s life is endangered. I just spent ten minutes googeling, and then… Nothing.

He has signed the Personhood USA pledge, which doesn’t spell out the consequences of declaring fertilized eggs as persons under the law, but presumably one would have to argue ‘self-defense’ to get an abortion if it became law. Romney has not signed, saying it should be done state-by-state.
