Amen. brother. My dad was in Guam, the Philippines, and possibly Okinawa, but I’m not sure on that last one. He died when I was a teenager and he didn’t much like talking about the war, so the memories are pretty foggy—i.e. I don’t know if I just heard him talk about Okinawa or if he was actually there.

I wonder if it’s possible to get copies of a parent’s military records. Does anyone know?
