There was an article on Steve King’s district today in the WaPo and the cognitive dissonance of these people just pisses me off. The whole “Oh, this is only part of who he is.” You can have an advocate for farmers and even socially conservative values that isn’t a raging right wing bigot like King is and there’s a lot “Well diversity doesn’t matter too much here.” Yet at the same time you buy fearmongreling about immigrants and PoC.

In other words they could buy the base model car, but they do in fact want the deluxe model. The hate is the leather seats and the 5.0 liter engine. Comfortable and faster.
